I want to take my DAT test in late August/early September. Would it be too late to apply to schools at this time?

I am a CA resident if this matters. I have a 3.6 cumulative gpa, about a 3.3-3.4 science gpa, and 3.9 non science gpa. I also have a masters degree.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you

Some schools start sending out interview invites in July. So September is not too late, but it is kinda late. You'd have to do really well on your DAT's though.

I wrote this thread when I was in the same situation 3 years ago:

Study hard, take the DAT when you say you will, and make sure your letters of recommendations are totally submitted and received by the time you are done taking it. Start picking your school list when you find out your DAT score, and most importantly, be smart to where you apply. Ex: Dont go applying to Harvard with a 18 DAT hoping you will be an exception. Use the ADA Dental School guide to detemine in-state/out of state acceptance rate/class size as well as average GPA and DAT for accepted class averages. All this so you dont waste your $ and ,more valuable, your time.
