Is technical college considered community college?

Sorry if this a dumb question but is technical college considered community college when it comes to course credits. I'm missing a 1-credit lab pre-req that I'm hoping to take at a technical college because their registration timeline is much faster than community colleges/4-year colleges timelines near me. My state school (I'm applying this cycle) needs proof of registration/enrollment of that course before they can proceed with my app (I'm sure other schools will be contacting me soon about this missing lab rip.) I called AMCAS and they said they're the same in their eyes but told me to check up with all my schools just in case (which would be like 20 phone calls). Has anyone taken a course at a technical college and have it count as community college credit?

Can you send an email to each school? Might be much quicker than phone calls.... Say, I am missing the lab for [course name] and intend to register at [technical college name] for the fall semester (or whatever the correct time frame is). Please confirm that this Is acceptable to [medical school name] in terms of meeting the pre-requisites for admission.

Giving the name of the specific school makes it far more clear than just asking about a type of school generically.
