Is the ECFMG accreditation process, effective in 2023, shattering for IMGs?

I'm studying medicine at the university of Alexandria in Egypt, which I'll be finishing in early 2021. Thereafter, I'll have to do my army service, which might take up to 3 years, making me unable to match before 2024 maybe.

How sharp is the ECFMG accreditation process exactly? Can government universities in major cities, like those in Cairo, Alexandria, or even in Mumbai, whatever the place may be, expect to easily get past this accreditation process, and as a result, students may still do the USMLE after 2023?

Any information from IMGs from other countries, not just Egypt, is very welcome.

Thanks

There will likely be changes to USMLE in the coming years, mainly in the form of consolidation of Steps 1 and 2 into one exam. Beyond that though, ECFMG and USMLE will stay the same.
