If anyone who has taken the test recently can answer this, I would greatly appreciate it. I really would like to skip the tutorial on the real mcat so I can get on with the test.

It's not the same because the interface of the real test is different than the practice tests. In my opinion the practice test interface is much "friendlier" for marking questions you want to come back to.

On the practice exam you right click to perform a strikethrough but on the real exam you left click the question to performs a strikethrough which can be confusing and annoying if you are used to left clicking the questions on the practice exam to select the answer. On the real exam you actually have to left click the circle to select the answer... so there is a difference and if you are used to the practice exams it can be frustrating.... at least it was for me. I caught myself a couple times left clicking the question to select it as my answer and it would strike it and was annoying and broke my concentration.

So to answer you question, no the tutorial is not the same, but its similar.... and you only have like 5 minutes to go through it, not 17 or 30 or whatever was on the practice.

*gasps* no?! So in verbal, they don't give you a line or paragraph reference? That's EVIL!!!!!!!!

so its pretty much exactly like the new princeton review CBTs? interesting, considering they were just in a lawsuit about trying to steal aamc stuff:laugh:, or so i heard on here.

So the tuturial Thomson Prometric provides on their website is different from the tuturial you see on the real test?

The Thomson Prometric tutorial seems to be exactly like the new Princeton Review tutorial. Weird thing is, I could never get the tutorial done in 5 minutes...

I don't know why, but the real tutorial is worse than the e-mcat ones. I didn't finish it either within the 5 minutes. Marking is done differently, so make sure you get to that part in the tutorial. This marking system is more difficult than the practice and kaplan tests.

Do you at least get a "review all" option so you can make sure you answered all the questions?

roadrunner---the same thing happened to me because I was using mozilla as my browser, try the tutorial with Internet explorer, worked for me.

Is it just me, or when I get to the part of the tutorial where you get a box to type in, I am unable to go forward due to the box overlapping the 'Next' button?

That happens with Firefox. As the previous poster said, use Internet Explorer.
