Is there a way to easily recognize structures that have resonance?

I realized that conjugated double bonds is one trigger. Also, having a lone pair of electrons conjugated to double bonds. Any other triggers that I should be aware of?

look for any lone pairs of electrons, double bonds, triple bonds as well as anions and cations.

It's only the case if you have a combination of them, right? Like just because a molecule has 2 double bonds conjugated, that doesn't mean there is resonance, right?

precisely.. Just cause you have met the criteria for resonance doesnt mean that resonance exists.. Practice makes perfect.. All you need to do is move the pairs and double bonds/triple bonds and see if resonance structures can be made.. Ofcourse make sure you abide by the octet rules and etccc
