Is There Anything That is Different In D.O. vs M.D. Training Other Than OMM?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

can someone just answer the question: Yes or No and why or why not.

thanks

Do a little search... and you will get mostly (90-95%) yes.

If it wasn't the case. DOs would not be able to do MD (ACGME) residency.

Most DOs don't practice OMT or OMM.. but they do learn about OPP (osteopathic Principals and Practice), at least that is what UNE calls it. Other school call it something different maybe.

The aim of OPP was to make a wholistic physician. Caring, informative and welcoming to patients. Many MD schools have adopted similar programs. Especially those aiming to produce primary care physicians.
