I just received A- in ochem, and I am very frustrated because I worked so hard for that class and knew I could have gotten A in the class. Is there big difference between A and A- in Ochem? Would adcom prefer an applicant who got A in ochem over A-?

I actually knew a pre-med in college who got A- in organic chemistry. The Caribbean schools wouldn't take a chance on him because of his o-chem grade, so now he's an M2 at the lowest-ranked medical school in the Republic of the Congo.

My point is that there's still a chance that OP can become a doctor. He doesn't need your discouragement right now.

More like 0.33(4)/120 because it contributes 0.33 fewer grade points on 4 units of credit over 120 units required for graduation. It is even less than that if you complete more than 120 credits.

For the record, OP, most strong applicants worst grade is in O-chem.
