Is third mailing still "early"?

Just got confirmation that my app is headed out on 7/16, which is the 3rd mailing. I have heard how every one beats to death the importance of getting it all in early. My transcripts and all verified on 7/1, and now mailing on 7/16 - is this still "early"?

I called NYU and they said they are not done reviewing applications from last cycle and that they will look at the 2011 applications starting early august.

So I think being in 1st batch (July 2nd), 2nd batch (July 9th), 3rd batch (July 16th) doesn't matter as long as the dental schools receive them before august.

They will probably just look at them all before inviting applicants for pre-dec. interviews. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah I'm in this mailing to. I didn't know it was the 3rd mailing...I figured it would take me way longer to get everything together and what-not so yay for that. IMO we are "early" but I think that it's relative though the 16th is early enough (again, IMO).

Yep, third mailing here too. I talked to one school and they said they begin interviews in August. Then, some other school websites indicate they begin interviewing later than August. So, I guess it depends on the school. I'm hoping it's still early.

Now, my cousin got accepted to 2 schools a couple cycles ago. She took her first DAT in July and her second in October. So, even though her DAT wasn't completed until October, she still got accepted (19AA, 18PAT). I'm guessing her application wasn't 100% complete until October then.
