Can I list a manuscript on Biorxiv (a pre-print server) as a publication?

It’s not peer-reviewed but it does receive a DOI and is indexed on Google scholar, Crossref etc. (but not Pubmed indexed). The 20-page manuscript is available for adcoms to view though.

Can I include it under the publication heading of AMCAS and cite it normally (and maybe provide a link for adcoms interested in taking a look)?

Is it also being submitted to a regular journal, or is Biorxiv the only place it will be published? I would probably list it under whatever research activity it's associated with (assuming you have that listed as an experience). Since pre-print servers aren't peer reviewed in any way, they doesn't mean the same as a peer-reviewed publication. However, I would mention it somewhere, in case a very curious reader decided to go look it up.

Def. Not a publication. Probably more akin to a the level of a poster, although even a poster is potentially more reviewed and discussed than Biorxiv. It is missing an essential component to the scientific process, however, if it is a well written manuscript I'm sure you can speak about the process in a beneficial way.
