Is this a scam?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Here's my favorite from the website:
"The mission of Avicina Medical Academy, Doctor of Medicine Degree Program, is to educate and inspire scholars and future leaders who will advance, create, and disseminate the practice of medicine; sustain and improve health to alleviate suffering caused by illness and disease; and to provide outstanding care and service for patients in a compassionate and respectful manner, especially in the undeserved parts of the world."

Coloration is mine.

An entire medical school dedicated to practicing on Wall St? Seems a bit excessive, don't we already have disaffected HMS grads for that?

"We vaccinate war criminals"

This is the funniest post on SDN. I will give my first attending pay check to the SDN user who submits this sentence as the entirety of their PS: "I want to vaccinate war criminals."

I just love that a 4 month old thread where I was given a Mod warning happened to get bumped.

I also love that I was the one given a warning for pointing out the name of the person running an obvious scam simply because said person also happened to create an SDN account with 3 posts.

So I googled one of the faculty professors names (not sure if I'll get in trouble for providing the name) but I found this pretty easily:

1 Sanction

  • Diversion of Drugs/Controlled Substances for Self-Use (9/3/2015)
  • Action Taken: Probation
  • Summary: (REMOVED NAME AND LICENSE NUMBER): NATURE OF COMPLAINT: The physician engaged in unprofessional conduct related to drug diversion. ACTION TAKEN: The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation placed the physician's license on indefinite PROBATION for a minimum of five years.
  • State: Illinois
This place is sketch, lol

I wouldn't be surprised if he taught pharm

Lol, their server was moved/doesn't exist and their code doesn't reflect it- they have a 410 error on some of their links. (IT classes ftw)

Which tells me that they didn't pay their server upkeep fees, and they let their files become abandoned. Real professional.
