Here is my cGPA, by semester:
Fall 2015: 3.934
Spring 2016: 3.647
Fall 2016: 3.442
Spring 2017: 3.577
Summ 2017: 4.000
Fall 2017: 4.000
Spring 2018: 3.953

Overall cGPA: 3.76
Overall sGPA: 3.67

I know this is more of a "U" with a dip in my sophomore year, but I'm hoping I've redeemed myself enough after that.

The term "sophomore slump" doesn't just apply to musicians: that "U" you describe is exceedingly common among undergrad students, too, and it's much less concerning than a grade drop during your junior or senior years. Adcoms see grades by year rather than by semester, though, so we can give you the best answer if you can provide a yearly GPA for us.

When you're doing your calculations, keep in mind that summer coursework belongs to the following academic year, not the one you'd just finished.

Yup. Nike swoosh is what we want to see.

Are you serious?? So the GPA breakdown by year incorporates summer coursework as well?!

I'm sure adcoms aren't going to start graphing, are they? That would be wild.

I probably would if I was an Adcom. I’m a stat guy and I like graphs. But in all seriousness it’s not hard to see trends in 4 numbers.
