Every year doximity comes out with a salary survey result that shows Rad Onc compensation despite all the cuts, residency expansion, hypofrac etc not only isn’t going down but it’s actually going up! Well, not anymore, looks like rad onc numbers is finally starting to reflect all the above. Rad onc is overtaken by GI, rad, gas, derm and med onc.

New Grad though. I started below that and went up. 492 is higher than I thought new grads would be getting.

I won’t even say data, I’ll just say history… history has proven as our reimbursement has gone down, our MGMA and Doximity salaries have gone up. (Don’t ask me if they’re “real,” no opinion.) It’s crazy but linear regression is saying if we can get regular EBRT down to a dollar a fraction median rad onc salary will be a million dollars a year.
