Wasn't it same kinetic energy, but lower speeds.
and the higher weight made up for the lower speed...
 
I don't remember where I got it from, i just found it in my notes, but wouldn't the avgKE be more for heavier ones since the formula is avgKE=1/2mv^2 and KE is directly proprtional to mass so the more mass the more avgKE?

But it would also mean that heavier molecules are slower... so v would be smaller although mass increased.

and I THINK they have the same KE only when they're at same Temp
