is this true?:

heavier molecules have higher average kinetic energy but lower speed
 
if it says in the book , it is ....... are u talking about gas molecules?

I read smth about that in Kaplan BB.

I don't remember where I got it from, i just found it in my notes, but wouldn't the avgKE be more for heavier ones since the formula is avgKE=1/2mv^2 and KE is directly proprtional to mass so the more mass the more avgKE?

But it would also mean that heavier molecules are slower... so v would be smaller although mass increased.
