Does your uni. not offer free tutoring.. maybe you can find help on line.

Not worth it in my opinion. There are a load of videos online/resources on campus that you can utilize before spewing out hundreds of dollars.

That's really expensive. Your school should offer tutors for free or at least a lot cheaper. Alternatively, you could use every online video/source available, and use study groups.

I tutor calculus for free. It's stressful, but hey whatever.

Christ, for $60 an hour you could get a nice Swedish massage instead, which would probably end up being more helpful. I used to tutor and charged $20 an hour, and that was only because I was tutoring rich high school kids whose parents would pay that amount. For a broke college student I'd probably do $12 or $15.

$60 is WAY too expensive. I charge $20/hour maximum for tutoring math.

It all depends on you OP - do you have the money to pay $60 an hour? My calc professor used to tutor middle school kids in the Upper East Side for $300 an hour. That's $300 an hour for multiplication, division and basic algebra. But the family was rich and didn't care if it was a waste of money - they got the best because they could afford it. If you can afford $60 an hour then do it - otherwise just get some free tutoring

WTF?......

this is why people think that urms are at a disadvantage. they can't pay 60 dollars per hour yet alone 300 dollars

This thread is hilarious. OP I would use online resources and that link to UCLA's tutor. Spend that money on mcat material. More worth it in the long term, IMO.

LOL this thread is hillarious. There would never be a time where I would pay 300 dollars for 5 hours of tutoring. Think about this logically. How much can you learn in 5 hours anyways? Just buy another book with that money and practice yourself.

If you're really pressed for individual attention you could try wyzant.com. Usually there are tutors in your area for cheap.

hahahahahahahahaha unless hes guaranteeing an a, tell him to get lost

You better not be who I think you are because if it is, you charged me $35😡

I charge $35 for a 2-hour session? Which is $17.50/hour LOL.
But the people I tutor are not pre-meds, so none of you guys. 😀

You guys are cheap. I charge:

$32/hr - high school
$40/hr - University

But $60 is insane.
