is transcription order necessary?

I'm doing application on AADSAS and on transcript entry section, it just seems to ask for what grade for each class I received for each semester which I can just copy from my university website. So is it even necessary to order transcription?

Yes......or else someone could just put that they got straight A's/falsify their grades and waste everyone's time.
Not everyone has good intention haha. The transcript is order is for AADSAS to verify you put everything in correctly

I think OP is referring to paying for the transcript entry service: Professional Transcript Entry Service (PTE)

If you can copy and paste from you university site, just make sure you don’t make any mistakes and it’s not necessary to order the transcript entry service. Triple check everything before you submit since it takes ~2 weeks to hear back if you have a mistake and then you’ll have to correct it and resubmit your app.

Ahhhh my bad. Thanks for pointing that out. Yeah I don't think the professional transcript entry thing is worth it. Many people have complained that has delayed their app as well

What I suggest maybe doing is ordering a transcript to your house and using that to enter your grades on AADSAS. For me, my class names online were slightly different than the way they were printed on my paper transcript that I ordered to my house. Since the paper copy is what AADSAS gets, I thought of just basing my entries from there! Just my two cents

For me, I found it helpful because my undergraduate degree in Psychology had some very specific courses which made it difficult to find the correct description during transcript entry. However, if your coursework easily can be identified through AADSAS, then I would skip it.

I entered my grades using my online unofficial transcript and finished transcript entry in <1 hour. It's totally unnecessary to order one just for that purpose IMO.

I'm thinking of doing this, but I'm worried there might be discrepancies (like course names or something) between my schools online unofficial transcript and my official transcript. What are your thoughts?
