Hi All,

I will try not to make this too long. I graduated with a B.S Forensic Biology in 2013. I wasn't too focused on where I was headed during my bachelors and came out with a 3.1 overall. Science GPA tanked majorly due to, well for lack of better words, poor judgment on my part. I did a one-year post-bacc at VCU school of medicine and apart from one C in animal physiology, got mostly As and Bs in courses like Biochem, Histology, Cardiac Physiology, Neuroanatomy, Embryology, Bacterio, etc. The class I got a C in was 5 credits and my cumulative GPA turned out to be around 3.2 despite a 3.7 something the second semester. I applied to dental schools 4 times, and never got a single interview. My DAT math score plunged me further down, but I scored 19+ on the sciences (22 on bio, 20 chem, etc). I currently work in Pakistan with a non-profit organization driven towards eliminating TB. I travel all over the country into rural communities for work. I can't help but think I want to continue pursuing professional school. I know every case is different, but I have no idea if I even have the slightest chance with the stats above. I have never taken the MCAT and I'm already 120K deep in student loans from the post-bacc and my bachelors. But with each passing day, something nudges me to just try.

What do you all think?

Getting a C in the post-bacc does not inspire my confidence. I think it's time for Plan B
