Is USMLE step one harder outside the US

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the step one is harder or easier when one takes it outside the US? Does NBME give foreign test takers a harder version of the test?

It is a standardized test no matter where you take it! 🙂

Scores matter so aim for the highest score possible. Folks may not say so but most residency programs have a cut off USMLE score. Say for example, if your step 1 and 2 are below 80% don’t even bother applying.
