This might look like a stupid question because for WVU Medical obviously in-state would mean in WV but I saw one chart where it said a majority of their acceptances are from VA.. so I'm wondering if that's a typo or.. does it consider VA to be in state?

It's got to be a typo. The majority of students at WVU are from West Virginia. Virginia applicants are not considered in-state.

We do have three schools of our own, which are all good schools and give preference to in-staters. So I don't think we're that bad off.

Considering that they split up in 1863 in the middle of the civil war... I would say no...
