i submitted my app on nov 1, but it wasn't officially marked as mailed until dec 1 on aadsas.

i'm still waiting on quite a number of schools:

creighton
musc
nyu
ohsu
stony brook
buffalo
ucla
detroit mercy
iowa
louisville
michigan
vcu... etc.

and i also applied to columbia/tufts/harvard/etc. but that was kind of as a joke (my mom wanted me to). not expecting anything from them.

anyone else still waiting? or from previous experience, what is the very last day that i should realistically hold out til in hopes of getting an interview?

I don't know about the other schools, but I think OHSU just started really doing interviews this month. They are really behind this year.

my mailing date was 7/30. applied to 20 schools. 9 rejections so far. i was even accepted into a podiatry program at the same school as a dental school i applied to. i wonder if they are ever gonna figure that out?

I was late with my AADSAS too and I haven't heard back from Louisville or NYU (only 2 I have similar with you). Rejected from Kentucky/LSU because Out of State spots already filled.

I don't know about all those schools, but OHSU and Louisville are definitely still interviewing. Creighton is not interviewing anymore, I believe their class is already full. I know that's not all of the schools you're asking about, but it's a start.

what are your stats? a late application like this puts you in a tough spot, but you may hear something from big private schools like nyu, tufts, etc

my stats aren't spectacular, not gonna lie. AA20/TS18/PAT20, sGPA 3.0, nsGPA 3.68

Sorry to be harsh but I don't see your scores being competitive at all this late in the cycle. You should prepare your app for the next cycle that's in 5 months.

You too. No point in posting nsGPA. Dental schools don't look at them.
Your DAT is average and your GPA is way below average. You should try aiming for 24AA+ because your undergrad GPA cannot be changed. If you have time, try postbacc or masters.

Nov 1st is pretty damn late. Dec 1st is even later. Hate to say this but you'll probably be reapplying. When you reapply make sure you apply eaaaaaarly.

i know the question wasn't directed for me, but i was rejected (not waitlist) from UK (w/o an interview) and got that same OOS spots full message. my rejection was on jan 21.

Thanks for the info. Sorry about the rejection! I hope someone will give up their spot so I stand a chance at getting off the waitlist. Still waiting to hear from 4 schools and starting to lose hope.
