-Biochem2 (no lab) - 3 hours
-Microbiology - 4 hours
-Comparative Vertebrata Zoology - 4 hours
-Sports economics - 3 hours
-Undergrad research - 1 hour
Total = 15 hrs

I'm also taking the MCAT in March/April. Is this schedule too much to be able to get some study hours in for the mcat? Is biochem2 more difficult than biochem1? So far biochem 1 is relatively easy for me, and apparently micro isn't too bad at my school.

thanks for any help/opinions!!<3

The schedule itself wouldn't be too bad, but, if it were me, I would never be able to find time to study for the MCAT effectively. You may be one of those people that doesn't need to study much for it, though.

Its hard to say, but I would rarely ever recommend studying for the MCAT while you are taking classes. I realize that a lot of people do this, but truly focusing on the test for a few months in the summer could really pay off in a high score.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I was really planning on studying all winter break and taking it in Feb, but if my practice tests aren't great then I was going to wait. And I'm not one of those people, I have to study ALOT to make good grades ;/ If my practice tests aren't great should I just plan on studying may/june and taking the test in july? My adviser told me applying early would be better than applying in july with 2-3 pts+ on the MCAT. !?

I know that pre-meds don't like hearing this but can you wait one year to apply to medical school? That way you can take the MCAT in August after you've spent all summer studying for it. In addition, you can apply at the very beginning of the next cycle knowing exactly what your MCAT score is.

That would be my suggestion because many medical school applicants take off 1+ year(s) before matriculating and it can make your overall application more desirable.
