In Golan's audio lectures he mentions that two frequent sources for Step1 question writers are:

1. JAMA consensus articles
2. NEJM medical progress articles dealing with a general subject

In the NEJM website I found plenty of medical progress articles; however, on the JAMA website when I searched under "consensus articles" I didn't get relevant search results, only saw articles related to statistical methodology.

So, do these consensus articles go under another name? What's a better search term to find them?

BTW, I highly recommend Goljan audio lectures. The man is brilliant in tying everything together. I'm just listening to them as a "bonus" now while driving and at the gym, but I plan to do a serious listen again towards the end of my review with the audio transcripts in front of me.

I really don't think it should be too much trouble if you were reading all the JAMA issues since the start of M1. I think you're a little too late to the party.

worried that someone else stumbled across your secret and is now spreading the word?

haha jk

everyone knows that this is how you truly get a 275+. You have to beat the usmle writers at their own game!

Better yet: write up a consensus article on a particular disorder, and see if an attending would help you publish it. If the USMLE writers use it, you are pretty much guaranteed to know the answer!
