Hey SDN,
I am having a hard time deciding whether I should apply to DJS schools now or wait a year. This new opportunity has come up, and I'm wondering if you all think it would enhance my competitiveness as an applicant.
My friend's aunt's godson works at a big cat rescue sanctuary in southern Indiana. Obviously they need to feed the cats somehow, so they use a lot of horse and cow heads donated from nearby slaughterhouses.
They have recently offered me a job flinging the heads over the tops of the fences into the tiger and leopard compounds. First I would have to bore a little hole in the upper lip as a kind of handle, but they provide me with a tool belt with suitable instrumentation.
It's not janitorial work, but it's a philanthropic organization and it requires large arm muscles.
What do you guys think?

I actually have a question. I know OJ (Office Janitor) schools are getting more competitive to get into, but does anyone know how CJ (Custodian Janitors) schools are? I just know that the CJ schools are more "holistic" in their approaches but they also HIGHLY recommend a letter of recommendation from a CUSTODIAN Janitor.
I don't mean to start another OJ vs CJ thread, but I was wondering if anyone could perhaps give some insight into this. I know that they learn the SAME things in their curriculum aside from custodial arts in CJ schools and that 98% of custodian janitors end up doing essentially the same thing office janitors do.
Custodian (CJ) schools are slightly more forgiving with cGPA/jGPA/JCAT scores so I was thinking of maybe applying to Office Janitor and Custodian Janitor schools with the CJ ones for backup.
I am just having some issues finding CJs to shadow. I don't live in a huge CJ-friendly area, but I am hoping to just do some walk-ins into their office and tell them that I plan to apply to CJ schools.
DO versus prawn star.
I could do Urology or OB/GYN and get the best of both worlds.
But....I feel like prawn star would make me...famous.
I see what you did thereMy mentor has really done well for himself in the entrepreneurial market. He went the Janitor route but then became certified in OMM afterwards (just throwing out the option). What put him on the map was this toilet that adjusts your sacrum while you sith.

The wonderful snowflake millennial "I'm offended by everything" person. Can't wait until the "I was joking, bro!" comment because snowflake generation can't handle it unless they get approval and are always right.Janitors are people too. Please don't insult them with your asinine comments.
