Hi everyone,

This is probably similar to other people's August questions, but figured I'd pull the trigger on it. After a 3 year sojourn across Japan, I'm going to take the MCAT.

There's 2 test dates here - June 21st, and August 17th. June 21st feels a little close, but August seems pretty late. Any advice?

Thanks!

That sounds really cool.
Take a practice test to see where you are. If close to what you want, then take it in June. If it seems that you need more practice, then August. When do you want to apply?

Thanks!

I was looking at applying this year - a program I'm in now ends fall of next year, so it would be a good transition time. Taking a year off...after having spent 3 years doing other things...well, don't know if it's for me.

I actually ended up signing up for June - don't know if I really have the time or energy to study for the MCAT for 4 months straight, and there's too much debate about whether taking a "late" MCAT hurts you or not.

Yeah I really don't know how a lot of SDNers study for four months straight. :/ I personally would sign up and study for the June one. If then around study date I feel unready got for August!
