Honestly, it sounds like you have some personal demons to deal with before you consider going into medical school. Take your time to grow up. There's nothing wrong with starting medical school at 25 or 30 or later, so if having money for applications is a problem, make money before you attempt this journey.

Getting "into" DO school may be easier than most MD, but I assure you that making it through is a harder journey. Intellectually it is about the same, but you have to deal with the OMM, multiple board exams and facing the discrimination in the match.
