Are You Ready For Private Practice?

is an ancient thread.

It's also AN ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL READ

for my CA-3 colleagues out there who will be matriculating into private practice in a cuppla months.

Jet Da Man, great thread! 👍

I resurfaced it a couple of months back while you were gone 🙂

Jet -

Nice to see you back around these parts. Although I'm still a million miles away from CA3 year, I think it's still beneficial to have my "eyes on the prize".

Any updates/revisions/highlights that you wouldn't mind putting to text? I just slogged through all three pages of your original post, and began to have PTSD-like flashbacks of how most well-intended threads turned into pissing contests and CRNA-****-slinging events. I'm hoping there's more relevant discussion to the original topic!

Any new hire errors you've seen since that original post? Any rockstars that have given you new perspective?

Any new attendings or others with thoughts?

jet,

thanks for your posts, as usual, etc. ad nauseum. you ARE prolific and a great resource for us residents. perhaps you (and other attendings) can elaborate on tricks to running the board, which is, perhaps, the most nebulus of intellectual skills we residents will someday need but have literally ZERO exposure to during residency.
