Job Market - Envision Based group

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I remember when I was a med student in south Florida (4 years ago). The new anesthesiologists we’re making 220 working for envision. I showed them the mgma data and they told me I was a dumb med student and didn’t know what I was talking about… lol, a sucker is born every day…
Awesome story! A lot of practicing physicians don't realize what is average, what is good, what is possible at the top end.

They know. Just a bit of denial or unwillingness to acknowledge to someone else that they are in a below average job. Or rationalize it “I live in a desirable area”, or a “low cost of living area”, etc.

Envision learned a lesson and force majeure is now a non-negotiable contract clause. Don't expect the same treatment next time.

I suspect that a lot of employers of anesthesiologists and CRNAs learned that lesson.

Hello, I apologize if this topic has been discussed before. New grad coming out of fellowship, and looking for work. Ive found several hospitals which look appealing, however they are funded by Envision. Ive heard both good and bad things, and curious if any would would share their experience or what they've heard.

Thanks in advance.
What kind of fellowship?

Thank you for all the responses. Has anyone heard good or bad things about Team Health?

Also, Im finishing up peds. Are there jobs out there where you can work in a physician only group, and do only pediatrics?

yes i work for them. everything you read on these boards is true. teamhealth was sold to me as a less malignant and more doc friendly amc compared to northstar. never worked for northstar, but teamhealth is everything you hear about amcs on this board. pretty textbook stuff.

nothing about them is doc friendly. their goal is to make money off your back and get you to do as much work for as little as possible. they do anything they can to make that happen. it's their job to get as much out of you as they can.

i've last 5 years now with them only because it's the only place in my hometown that does a significant volume of hearts. hasn't been a pretty 5 years. if you want details on the stunts they've pulled message me, it's fairly comical. just a lot to ramble on about for a general post
