Job Market in the Southeast

Hey everyone, I had a few questions:

1. What is the job market like now in the southeastern US (specifically La if anyone is from there)?

2. Do anesthesiologists do many procedures these days or are they mainly supervisors for CRNAs?

3. I get conflicting reports on lifestyle. Some say that the lifestyle is great, some say that you have call every 2 days and that they are always working. Who is right (probably both??)?

1. No clue.

2. Both models exist. Most of the private groups here in Dallas do not use the Care team model (MD's and CRNA's) and supervise only if necessary.

3. There are so many varieties of practice models, that I won't even start that. Working for a hospital usually entails a LOT more call. Private group members usually take more call when they want to make more money, less if they want more vacation time.
