The field is expected to grow beyond 2008. With the population getting older (baby boomers), there is going to be a large need for ocular care provided my OD's. I would not worry about the field too much.

As far as FL and MA, I don't have much input. FL has a verrrrrrrrry old population so I would expect they would really need OD's, but I'm not an expert.
