Hello everyone.
I have been accepted into Johns Hopkins Bloomberg school of public health and also Boston university school of public health. My first instinct was to go for the johns Hopkins since it's number one school in public health. However, I got 0 scholarship for johns Hopkins. I have applied for external scholarship which seems to be on a good course. On the other hand, Boston university is giving me 100% tuition scholarship. Now I don't know what to do.

As an international student, I know Hopkins would give me more exposure in the world of employment. Will Boston do same? What are the advantages and disadvantages of either schools. Which should I take and why. I want the best I terms of quality education and better prospects of jobs in the USA after the degree. Thank you.

There are two steps you need to take:
  1. Do a search on this forum for BU MPH.
  2. Accept BU's offer since as an international student ineligible for FAFSA you need as much financial assistance as you can get and they're offering you free tuition.
Sincerely,
A non-BU student (just so you don't think I'm biased).

My government is prepared to sponsor and pay the entire cost if I am to choose JHU. What do employers really look out for? Will I be better of with the awards and scholarships from BU or just by attending JHU with no special awards? My problem is how it will serve me in the future. Which one will open more doors for me. BU is a good school but not in the same league as JHU.(I stand to b corrected)

Employers look out for CEPH accreditation. It's not about where you go, it's what you do while you're there.

I don't understand what the issue is here. A scholarship isn't going to outweigh the Hopkins name on your CV. If your government is going to pay your tuition to Hopkins then money is not an issue for you. Go to Hopkins.
