good luck to all as well. i'm not as evolved as starlight, so i may be on here after the test to see what everyone else made of it and post one note of misery. then i'll descend into a debauched weekend of tivo oblivion.

i'll see you all on the other side....

Good Luck Everyone. I plan to be good and drunk by no later than 1 hour after the test and I suggest you all do the same instead of whinning about how hard it was lets all just be happy its over and we never have to do it again.

i'm new, but good luck, everyone! i hope i'm set for tomorrow... i've had the spongebob squarepants theme stuck in my head for the whole night, and i think that serves as an indication to calm down.

How hard it is? Hell no! That sh*ts gonna be ez! We're all going to do well and get well into the 30's. Let's go in there knowing we got 35+.

I am sitting in the Crowne Plaza in Clark New Jersey. It is a tiny hotel right next to 100 Walnut Avenue, Clark, NJ(my test site).

im heading in for the night.... probably watch some lame late night tv until i fall asleep so i wont wake up early and freak out too much. im kinda stressing out about what to WEAR since apparently you cant take anything off once you're in the room. haha..maybe i should just go in there naked and distract everyone else :laugh:

Yup, I just watched three episodes of House. Off to bed now too. Lots of luck to all. May we have few PS calculations, no philosophical VR passages, and only simple orgo questions. At least, that's what I'll dream of tonight....

Just posting to say I will be taking the MCAT today!

When are the scores for this test going to be released? July 15th? or is it more likely to be over a month?

aamc says july 18th, but you never know. They may get it back to us around july 15th.

I definitely had too much wine to drown out my PS experience (preceded by a steak and followed by chocolate), but it wore off, and now it's 4:30am and I'm sober and WIDE AWAKE. I have no idea why I can't sleep. At least I didn't have this problem last night (got a good 6 hours in before the test).

Anyway, glad you felt good about it beatrixkiddo. I envy your confidence!

Don't really know why I feel this way, I ran out of time on verbal and I beleive some of the BS passages were mistakenly written in Chinese? Yes? Anyone??

hahaha yeah, I couldn't agree more.

Im glad to hear other people ran out of time on verbal too...I literally guessed on two questions which has never happened to me on any of the 15 practice tests I took. Go figure.

Oh sorry, mindfart, I ran out of time on PS, not verbal, I had plenty of time left onverbal, but i had to guess half a passage on PS

I felt as if the test was a complete opposite as to whatI had studied. I had done around 10 practice tests and was only missing 4-5 the entire section! One of my staff physicians told me if they did flip it as much as I said compared to how tests had been in the past, then they will allot a major curve. He said that happened on his oral boards and has happened on other tests. I am about to restudy for the September exam. ARGH!!!

I was also told to quit fussing aobut not making at least a 30 the first time. The other docs were telling me that was a rarity (that and if I make a 40 they will personally pay for my medical education:laugh:)

you and me both were thrown off by the test. I was particularly mad about the organic passage stuck in the middle of the physical sciences...

Me too, i ran out of time on the bird passage- i guessed on the last question

guys, i want to die.

the only reason im not starting to study again for a retake is b/c i threw my mcat books in the closet and am too sad to take them out again.

i keep having these awful thoughts about getting a 9 in bio and a 28 overall. agh!! 🙁 1 month left until my suspicions are confirmed!

on the plus side at least we don't have to wait 60 days to get the scores back with CBT....and aren't they out on July 18th???

It says on the website that scores come out on July 18th. That's definitely more than 30 days. Who knows how they pick the release dates. *shrug* I just hope they don't mess up our release date like the did for the June 13th score release. And honestly, I think it'd be a lot more humane if they posted on their web site the proposed time on July 18th the scores would be released. They could even wait to post that info until the July 17th. The only reason I can imagine they don't post a time is that they fear too many people checking at the same time would flood the server or something. But I'm pretty tech ignorant, so what do I know?

And starlight, you're being silly. Your practice MCATs were stellar - in the mid-30s regularly, if I recall correctly. I just looked back and saw you got a 14 on a BS section on CBT 9. There is NO WAY you got below a 10 on BS on the real thing, and no way you got below a 30 on the MCAT. You're going to do just great. I, on the other hand, had half of my PS practice sections an 8, and the other half a 10. And PS was definitely the hardest section I got on the real thing. I'm worried I definitely got an 8 on PS. On the other hand, with each passing day I think I got a 7 or an 8 on PS, I actually feel more confident about how I did on VR and BS. And then I read how people completely misjudged their performances, and ended up doing better on the sections they thought they bombed, and not so hot on the sections they thought were easy. At this point, I generally try to just stop thinking about the MCAT altogether. All the pondering in the world won't make any difference, or make the score come faster. No sense giving ourselves ulcers over imagined low section scores until our fears have actually materialized as more than classic over-achiever stress.

you and me booth toots...you and me both...i have been dreaming of a bad score for oh so long

First off, I know I got 2 problems wrong on the exam because I went back and checked....crap...

Second, i just felt off my game on some of the questions. The feeling you get after you finish a practice, and have checked it twice...i didn't get that. I was even able to go back and check all the problems...time was short

Third, everyone keeps asking me how I did...this is bugging me out more...so i am telling everyone I did "ok, but I wont know until I get my score back." Which I WON'T GET BACK UNTIL A MONTH AND I KNOW IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD I GOT AT LEAST 2 WRONG! Grr......

So you are not alone....

I know what you mean, I had a dream last night that I got a 29R on the MCAT...please be at least a 30!!! I say screw the essays, they should give us a numerical score within two weeks....
