Here's my situation. Right now I have a 3.5 , I have 3 more semesters left untill I have all my Pharm req's completed. The question is, If I got all A's in those 3 semesters, what would my new GPA be?

How much does it go up if you get a 4.0 in a semester?

Thanks

You would need to tell us how many units you have taken and how many units you will take in the upcoming semesters. Its quite an easy calculation actually.

For example:

lets say you took 150 units so far...

3.5(150) = 525 points

and in the next three semesters you plan on taking 50 units, and you get straight A's

4.0(50) = 200 points

you're new GPA is ... dun dun dunnnn

(200+525)/(50+150) = 3.625

Just do the same calculation with your real units instead 👍

P Bear definitely gets my vote for "Best use of calculator in a random thread today" category!!!

Well done and congrats!!!

~above~ 👍

on a side note - calculating your own GPA is an essential skill, and Polarbear might not always be around... (just a thought)

Will since he showed me an easy to calculate it I wont need to ask him again, will I?

just curious pharmMnM how did you previously calculate your GPA? I love calculating GPA's .. especially optimistically calculating my GPA.. I love the "What if I get straight A's what would my GPA be..." kind of calculations lol.. much better than the opposite case of course 😉
