Just bombed Organic Chem 2 Lecture portion, and here's how it's playing out for this summer:
I registered to retake organic 2 during summer session, but was accepted into an undergraduate research scholarship. The team I'll be working with will pump out 4 publications in nanomaterials synthesis, one of which I will be made primary author. We'll also be training one inner city school teacher through a Nanotechnology Outreach Program we're founding, and will be training 2 high school students on nano-sized sensor assays for urine-glucose levels through the ACS Project SEED program. There will be one poster presentation on a University level, and one poster presentation at the ACS regional conference.
I was told if I take the organic 2 lecture, it'll put a huge strain on my research contribution and I may get my scholarship withdrawn. Should I put off the course til the fall semester, and ask the current professor for an Incomplete? Do you think he'll award it considering my situation?
Any thoughts are helpful!
Oh, and by 'bombed', I do mean an F.
