Just curious....are nurse practitioner jobs being quickly saturated? I have heard rumors that NPs are taking jobs designed for RNs, with very lil 'extra' pay for 'extra' education. Do you all find this to be true? Or is this only specific for primary care NPs...
 
I think it depends on the state. Every state is different. I know that is not happening here. But then NP's are very autonomous here and are directly reimbursed by third party payors. So they are often in private practice. NPs do require supervision but contracts vary from a salary, to percentage to the NP paying a fee to the physician.

I have heard in states where the NP is less autonomous and they have less privileges that there are things like this occurring.
