Just got a interview letter from NYU...

Do you guys think its a little late for me to believe I have a chance of getting in at NYU with a interview invite so late? There seems to be a whole lot of guys here getting in without a interview, which makes me believe my decision to attend the interview may be futile. Thanks.

how did you just get an interview letter...was it e-mail? The mail was not delivered today.

last year i interviewed on feb 4th and got in on august 5th from the waiting list. so there is hope! i would say that if u dont get in but get on the waiting list STAY ACTIVE. retake your dats and try to do better, get additional letters sent, etc. that is why i got in off of the waiting list. i went from a 17/18/18 to a 18/19/22 and provided 2 additional letters. good luck

p.s. if u retake the dat dont have it sent to them just incase u do worse. you can always pay $10 afterwards to have it sent to them

I guess I should clarify that I just received news of the letter. I don't know how long its been sitting in the mailbox because my mother, who received the letter, went on vacation for a week. Also, the letter was dated the 16th of December, 2005.

its never too late for nyu. huge class size and a lot of people refuse their acceptances..they interview well into the spring.

my application was in august 4th..but i still havnt heard from nyu. i checked and everything is complete. does this most likely mean i will eventually get a rejection letter? since people who applied later than me already got acceptances..
strange since my stats arent that bad..definitely good enough for nyu. anyone know anything?

i just called today and they said my file is complete. When the admissions committee have reached a decision, they will contact me through mail. I hope that won't be a rejection 😱
Those that have already received contacts from nyu, when was your application mailed out? Mine was 9/29. Thanks.

Mine was mailed out on sept 29th too...and i havent heard anything from them yet.

My friend took the DAT on the first week of December. She got her acceptance at NYU without interview just two weeks afterwards. NYU is actually quite efficient in sending out offer of admission.
