I just got back from a 3 week long mission trip halfway across the world. It was a wonderful experience and I would like to know if it is worth letting the schools I've applied to about it. I taught ESL and didn't do that many hours (30ish).

If it is worth letting the schools know, how would I go about doing so? I would like to do anything that would give me a better chance of getting an interview/accepted.

No. It will not impact you're chances significantly. Mission trips are the norm now. "People just go because it looks good on their resume"

you should call them. I think it’s a great experience if you did not have similar thing prior in your app. Also, might wanna gather some more questions to ask them and really show that you’re interested. It can only help your chance.
Best of luck!
