hey everyone,
for anyone who's interested i just got done with my interview at nyu earlier today...it went really well and the interview questions and answers went very smoothly...
typical questions about why nyu, why dentistry, hardest patient i've ever dealt with...etc etc..then ms. knowles asked if i had any questions , which i did ask then..
i then went on a tour of the facilites which are in my mind superb...they are renovating all the clinics, and the aesthetic institute is a thing of beauty....the new student lounge had just opened today it had plasma tv's nice seating, as well as the new cafeteria...i was pretty impressed.
ms. knowles said they would contact me in a couple weeks, i'm not expecting to get in, as i got interviewed very late...but maybe there's a chance on the waitlist for me...
one other girl was interviewing today wihtme adn that's it...

The tension is over now. Just have to wait for that letter coming to your mailbox. Who knows what's going to be there. I wish you good luck. BTW I didn't understand the last sentence of your posting. Did you mean to say there was another candidate with you for today's interview?

TOEFL is MANDATORY even for US citizens.there are no exceptions.hope this helps.all the best! 👍

i think anything above 85..... should get u an interview...as long as u apply early......but no gaurentee for acceptance...
the higher the better...aim for atleast a 90.. if not more....

not necessary!having a score of 85 may not get u an interview call!there r so many 85 ers who were rejected!even ppl. with scores of 86&87 r waitlisted!so aim higher more than 90!all the best! 👍

Are you sure abt the TOEFL query?I thought only students who graduated from univs ouside of the US and in countries where English is not the first language shd take the Toefl even if they are American citizens and not necessarily all American Citizens?Please enlighten me.

100%sure!i mean dead sure!check out the FAQs in the web-sites of different colleges!its stated clearly out there!itz MANDATORY for all US citizens to take up the toefl!no exceptions!then, what do u think i'm doing?u know me,right? 😉
