I just had my interview at Campbell today. I left the feedback on the school on the "schools feedbacks" page, in case somebody wants to know. It was my first interview, so I was pretty nervous, but the interview was very laid-back.

Hi Goheel! Congrats on the interview, I'm glad it went well 🙂 Just out of curiosity, when did you turn in your application? I also applied to Campbell but have no idea as to how much time it takes to process and application and deny/grant interviews to applicants!

Also, any other thoughts on the campus and the faculty?

Hey,
I think I sent my application in around late September/ early October. I think the usual wait to hear about the interview invitation is around 3 weeks. The campus seems pretty small to me, maybe because I go to a big public university. The faculty was very nice.

hey goheel, wut was your gpa when you applied? did you also take PCAT.

My pharmcas GPA was 3.82 cummulative. I took the PCAT on Oct. 23.

Good luck to you guys. My Gf is a P-2 at Campbell and she has really enjoyed herself. Lots of new things on the horizon at Campbell. I must admit it's a little off the beaten path but located not too far from Cary and Raleigh.

For those of you who have had/will have an interview at Campbell AND if you were out of state or far away, what airport did you fly into, how far was the campus from the airport, and what hotel did you stay at?

Thanks!!!

Are you not going to go to PBA?

I am so far, but my parents have been giving me a hard time about not seeing other places first and 'having my options open.' It wouldn't hurt to try just to see...I've heard bad and good about Campbell. Of course, location wise, PBA sounds like a better fit! However, I should see what Campbell has to offer as well.

I think the closest airport to Campbell is Raleigh-Durham, considering the school is in the middle of nowhere.

It's close to a town called Dunn, which is off of I-95. The closest airport is Raleigh. I drove up and stayed in Dunn. The campus was about a 30 minute drive from my motel. When I interviewed there a couple of years ago, they asked me where else I was applying and I told them PBA. They said that a few of their professors left Campbell to teach at PBA.

The cost of living is way cheaper at Campbell than in Palm Beach. There's also nothing to do there. During my campus tour I asked if they had a Starbucks on campus and they said no, just a school cafeteria. The restaurants in Dunn were pathetic. I went to a Chinese place that won the "best restaurant" award for several years running. It was the worst Chinese I ever had.

Wow...do you remember where you stayed dgroulx? I am an out-of-stater without a car so I wonder if a cab is even available!!!! I'm most concerned about travel...a 30 minute cab ride must be super expensive. Gaaaaah...

Also, where do you go now dgroulx? If given the choice (after visiting both PBA and Campbell), between the two, where would you go and why? I just want to see if the Campbell curriculum is any better or if the facilities/quality of faculty is superior. I did, however, get a GREAT impression of PBA when I visited! (facilities, faculty, overview of curriculum)

Thanks!

Just wanted to add that the Campbell basketball team got stomped by us 99-44 last night. 😀

It was like taking candies away from the kids 😉

I stayed at a motel right off the interstate, but I'm not sure what chain. The people from Campbell sent me a list of motels that were good and I took their advice.

I go to the University of Florida. I like the quiet, rural lifestyle and small towns. Because of that, I would have chosen Campbell over PBA. The curriculums seemed very similar.

However, I didn't make the final cut at Campbell. They said I didn't have all the prereqs and to try and get my degree to strengthen my app. Obviously, they didn't get my last set of transcrips which showed my BS degree with all the prereqs. Since I already accepted my seat at UF, I didn't pursue it with them.
