Is there some sort of protocol? I'm wondering why so many people haven't heard from schools where their application has been complete for so long, and yet others have already received rejections. My app has been complete for several months at many schools, yet I have not received rejections or interview invites. Do some schools hold on to their rejection pile and send out mass mailings in May?? Or is there a pile of apps labeled "we will probably reject these people, but, if we get desperate, we may look at them again"? Since being rejected at my state school, I have pretty much lost all hope of getting an interview anywhere, but I'm really surprised that I haven't received the rejections yet. For instance... my app has been complete for quite a while at Loyola, Creighton, Northwestern, Loma Linda and a few other schools, yet I haven't heard anything, yet I've seen many posts of people who have received rejections from these schools. Does anyone have any insight?

all of your assumptions were correct.....they hold them in a pile until they figure out what to do with them. I have heard nothing from 11 schools since completion
