WOW so today I got an email saying my application is incomplete because I don't have any letters of rec? WTF! I had 3 submitted with my AADSAS account!!!! Are some dental schools that incompetent?!!! I mean god dang, I paid AADSAS $75 per school and the supplement $75 and now they are too damn lazy to look at my AADSAS account to verify? ****.

I'm only making $18/hour, thus if I give them $150, they should spend at least 7-8 hours looking at my application. Lazy ass bastards.

Actually you not only paid them $150 you also probably worked a lot to get all those things for the app. Its alright, we're in the paying phase right now. Now we pay...but soon we shall be paid (paid real money...not the pittance we make now).

Haha, yes I recently graduated (which barely makes me a non-trad) and got a job with a corporate healthcare company. Thankful to have it for sure.

Only one school. All the other schools say they got my LOEs. So I'm a bit confused.

But yeah I'm just a chemist at a food company. $18/hr might sound like a lot, but it only equates to ~34k a year. That's pretty much borderline poverty in my opinion after Uncle Sam takes his pretty penny. My girlfriend who is a RN makes $33/hr (plus the overtime/ bonus/ etc)... all said and done she made $80k last year. If I could start my life all over, I probably would have been a BSN RN. $80K for a 4 year degree! NOTHING BEATS THAT!

Nah, it was Midwestern, but they just recently emailed me saying that they have all my materials so I'm good. I think they were just to quick to jump the gun? Dunno.

BTW, don't apply to UPR. They don't know how to respond to emails. I wrote to them 2 months ago.... still nothing. Even checked my spam folders. NOTHING! I just gave them $75 for NOTHING! UPR is very disorganized! Or maybe I should have written in Spanish?

Your income is pretty much the median income for this entire country. Keep that in mind when you are a dentist.

Got snail mail, it never even had time to show a status in AADSAS. Im sure it was faster since they never actually had to look at the file, it probably got flagged electronically and the letter was automatically generated and sent out. If your stats meet the minimum guidelines then at least someone will physically look at your application but mine was not in that category so dont count yourself out quite yet. Anyway, thanks but dont worry, I will find a home in some d-school but it aint gonna be Midwestern...

Heck no! I couldn't even find the supplemental packet and since they never responded to my emails, I just said F-them. I don't feel like it's a legitimate school at the moment anyways.

Plus my sister who's a 4th year med student said that most med students from UPR seemed very under prepared. Maybe it's TOO relaxed there.

I got 3 letters of rejection last year. Didn't phase me one bit, in fact I laughed about it and even hoped they had rejected me sooner so that I would be eligible for dental post baccs.
