I'm kinda new to all of this, but I was wondering what my chances are with my current situation:
1. 3.7+ in biology (about 40 hours worth of biology classes)
2. 2.3 in chemistry (I'm not good at chemistry,and i got a D in orgonI because i took it in the summer and had a family death,but will be retaking it this summer)
3. 3.59 Gpa overall (i'm hoping to graduate with a 3.6-3.75)
4. Tons of volunteer work(orphanages, animal shelters, highway cleanup,etc)
5. Appointed by the Govenor to a state board (and i'm the chairsperson)
6. I take no less than 17 hours a semester
6. I've managed a gamestop through college😎

I'm just trying to see where I stack up? Anybody else bad at chem???

and Congrats to all those who have gotten acceptances....

I think you are fine. You are still really competitive. I got C- in Chem 2A and that didn't stop me from going to dental school

Number 6 is awesome man - managing gamestop rules!

Why do you have two number 6s? 😕
 
The BCP GPA will probably be lower for you. Your overall GPA is great but there is a good chance that schools will scrutinize your lackluster prereq grades.

I would but... I get discounts on games which is the only reason why I'm putting up with the god-awful 7.85 and hour... bastards.

Yeah switching careers into prostitution is looking more promising everyday...🙄

But wait when you think about it, I am sort of selling my self for video games.... ugh now I just feel dirty...
 
lol....yea working at gamestop is all about the discounts....I didn't realize so many gamestop employee's wanted to be dentist haha.....anywho I'm taking the dat in late July or early August so I'm hope'n for the best!

oh, and what is BCP gpa?

You think 7.85 is bad...I used to work at Abercrombie & Fitch for a measly 6.00. I don't know WHAT I was thinking :scared:.

Ouch. That's how much I made when I worked at a dollar store for 2 years. That was when I was 16 but man, back then I was like "Dude I'm so rich! I make 100 bucks a week! YAY!"

BCP = Biology Chemistry Physics

Haha yeah. Mostly I just get the awkward I-just-hit-puberty 14-16 year old boys that are like "Woh, dude, you work here? And you're a girl? AND YOU PLAY VIDEOGAMES!?! OMG will you marry me???"

It makes sense. The demographic that you are dealing with is soda guzzling, pizza munching out of shape flabby kids whose parents don't know any better than leaving them glued to the TV or computer screen. They are just a carie waiting to happen. :meanie::laugh:
