So, I'm working on acids and bases because I probably suck the most at them...

I'm wondering, however, on the DAT, can you just always assume that the denominator is the M value? (not .1 - X) for instance?

If there is a time when you cannot assume this, when is it?

if i remember correctly, there is a 5% rule. But I highly doubt that the DAT will have something ridiculous like that because it will be impossible to do it without a calculator.
