Just don't worry too much about practice exams, what you normally score on them is totally different than what you'll get on the real deal...

Here is a thread by someone who just posted few days ago, he was getting like 15s and 16s on his sciences for his practice and ended up with a TS19 http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=721151

Obviously I am not proving my point by showing you just 1 example, but trust me, these practice tests are ONLY meant to be used as INSTRUCTIONAL methods.... meaning whenever you get something wrong, learn from that mistake.... they are not exactly supposed to gauge how you'll perform on the real DAT

I've seen NUMEROUS people on SDN (including myself) who always used to score ALOT less on their practice exams, and ended up with great numbers on the real deal.

Just don't worry, relax, learn from these practice tests, and hope for the best come exam day

Good luck on your dat

From my experience, the first time i took the DATs, all I used was kaplan to study. I personally feel that their grading is quite a bit inflated. Taking their practice exams, my scores were around 19-21 in the sciences. When it came time for the DAT, my scores were quite a bit lower. In that sense, don't fool yourself into thinking that if you're doing well on the kaplan exams, you're good to go

Opposing that viewpoint, the second time I studied for the DAT, I used achiever, topscore, destroyer, crack dat. What I can tell you from using all those sources that pertains to you is that achiever is a lot harder than the actual exam. I remember taking an achiever exam a few weeks prior to my actual DAT and still getting like 15-16s on the sciences. It didn't do a whole lot for my confidence haha. So just remember, not to get discouraged; especially with achiever.

What I did like about kaplan is the huge amount of practice questions that are available to you. If you study them properly (i.e. make sure you understand the wrong answers along with the right answer for each question) you should feel a lot more comfortable going into the exam.

Hope that helps. Good luck

aight you are going in the right track by practicing.
Just keep studying and practicing. My kap and achiever practice scores were on your range but i improved 3-5 points on the real dat. SO dont really your outcome solely on your practice. Trust me practice scores mean nothing. They are there so that you dont make the same mistakes. Just study hard and write down all your mistakes and you will be good.
