I recently started a Kaplan course, and I have been memorizing their sets of practice tests for each section. These tests include the correct answer to questions, and why it is correct, along with why others are wrong. Kaplan question bank has like 450+ questions for each section (Bio, g Chem, O Chem.....) I dont see how you could get anything less then a 20 if you memorize Kaplans stuff, has anyone out there relied only on this, and done bad on the real DAT?

And who has relied ONLY on these tests, and done really well?

Kaplan is good enough, although there were a few bio questions that were on the actual DAT that I did not see on the Kaplan review book nor tests. O-chem and G-chem was much easier on the DAT that Kaplan stuff. you will be fine. I have been out of school for 5 years and I stuided Kaplan material for the last 3 months (average 4 hours a day) and I got a overall 22. (bio 22, g-chem 25, and o-chem 27). Just make sure you review the Kaplan stuff a couple of times before the test. By the way, the Math section was harder than Kaplan ( I got a 20), if you can work on word problems. Also, the angle ranking on the computer are a lot harder than the paper. So if you can find a way to practice you will be fine.

Good Luck

Most people who take the Kaplan class will at one read the big book (Review Notes). Very few people just only to do the problem sets. So perhaps that's why no one is responding to your question. But personally, I don't think it will work just doing the problem sets (subject tests), even if you're in a rush to take the DAT.
