Hi,

I just took Practice Test number 2 for the online Kaplan course. I'm curious as to if my scores are on track for a 20+ AA on the real DAT. I take my DAT in a month and 5 days which seems like plenty of time, but these low Kaplan practice scores are concerning.

Practice test 2 results:
18AA 17TS
17 Bio/19 GC/17 OC/18 RC/18 QR/19 PAT

Thanks in advance for the help!

Did you pay for these practice tests? How many do they have and how much they cost? Just curious.

Yeah I paid for the course. You get a condensed diagnostic test and 5 full length tests. And I don't remember the price but it was a lot.

Is it worth it? Did you take the DAT bootcamp yet? For anyone who has taken both, how would you compare both sets of tests?

I guess I will be able to answer that question once I take the DAT, and you trying to jack my thread bro?

To be honest with you, no! I got pretty close to my Kaplan scores in my DAT and wasn't happy about it. Don't listen to people saying that you can add to your Kaplan scores up to two three points. You are close but bring them up, you have time.

Thank you very much for the response! and wow okay. You're the first person I've read that experienced that. Any ideas why? Not denouncing your opinion at all. Just curious.

Hey I took my DAT last month and I only used Kaplan material. If I average just my full lengths from Kaplan, my DAT and Kaplan score are pretty much the same. Although I think Kaplan sciences were a lot harder than the actual DAT, but it worked in my favour during test day and I breezed through the sciences. PAT was just a tad bit harder on the hole punching and angles but everything else was the same when comparing Kaplan and actual. QR was the same level of difficulty for both. I would suggest looking for an outside source for RC. Kaplan's questions for RC were much easier than the DAT. I had a lot of detail except questions and the passage lengths were a lot more varied then the ones Kaplan provides.
