Basically I am trying to decide whether to use the Kaplan 4 book series or the individual high yield, BRS, rapid review etc books and wondered what people thought would be best? I am a UK student, just about to finish med school so basic sciences was a while ago.

people around here generally use hy, brs, rr and of course FA. I think its an option to study from kaplan or the other books, just make sure that in your last weeks study you read FA a couple of times and do UW. These are the most important sources.

Are you talking about the Kaplan home study series? I read through that and the individual BRS/HY books...I thought that the BRS/HY books were way easier to work through and they had the practise questions at the end of each chapter to break up the monotony. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, those are the ones. Just looking at them makes me a bit depressed so I was thinking maybe a bunch of smaller books may be less intimidating.
