to anyone who's taken the Kaplan pcat review and have already taken the test... do know exactly how well your Kaplan percentile/rank scores might compare to the real percentile/rank scores? I'm disappointed with my Kaplan scores (around a 60 🙁 ), and so was wondering if i had a chance on next week's pcat (october).

thanks.

In my case i know tht my Kaplan final exam score was very close to my actual PCAT score. But then, i did not get much time to prepare for my PCAT after the kaplan final. If you recognize your weak points and utilize the time effectively, then you will be able to improve your scores. I had also noticed that kaplan tests had were a little more harder in my case, and its intented to challenge you and to prepare you more. So dont get disappointed with your kaplan score. Study more and you still have a chance for improvement. Good Luck.

I think Kaplan didn't compare to the PCAT in some areas (ie-MATH!)

My percentile was lower on the actual PCAT then it was on the Practice tests, but they were VERY close (10 points off)

I enjoyed the Kaplan courses, they helped me a lot so good luck.

And if you don't do so hot- retake the course (free score gaurentee!) and take the PCAT again, unless you are applying this year :-/

Best of luck to you:luck:

the scores i got from kaplan were pretty much similar to what i got on the real test. so make sure you study really hard on those sections that kaplan told you.

I scored a 97% composite on the PCAT--and I did't do well on the practice--I think it amounted to about 75% composite or so.

I'm pretty sure Kaplan padded their finals with some of the same questions from their other practice exams. I'm sure I saw a few I had already seen, so I walked out knowing my score would be higher than it should in reality. I think my raw on Kaplan's final was 467, but they said that was the 90th percentile. After freaking out about how much higher that was a raw score than I thought was a 90th percentile score, I eventually realized (after getting my real PCAT scores back 10 weeks later) that it is on a "per test" basis and not scaled over all tests. So yay, to get a 90th percentile you don't have to score 467 on the real PCAT! Thank god, b/c I didn't come anywhere close to that. On the August PCAT I got a 430, but that ended up being a 93%. Just goes to show Kaplan needs some new practice questions.
