Kaplan self assessment - 65% - please help!

Hi guys,

I have 3.5 weeks left and just took Kaplan 7 hour simulation exam and scored 65%...

Do you know what it means? I don't have any NBMEs left 🙁

Was scoring between 220-230 on the previous ones... It was a while ago (I postponed my exam).

Is this even the passing range? 🙁

I don't think there is any official correlation table for it. Any UWSA left to try?

NBMEs are a far more accurate measurement of Step performance. Kaplan correlations are not reliable.

Unfortunately, I have used both UWSA as well 🙁

As I said before, I was really set on the previous date and wasn't saving any NBMEs...

I took the 18 and I got only 220 (my goal is 240 and I was getting 228-232 on previous ones) and I freaked out. Maybe I should have pushed harder and just taken it but I didn't.

Now I have only Kaplan simulation left (No.2) and free 150.
I was thinking of doing NBME 13 again, I did it a long time ago (March) and didn't go through my mistakes so there is a chance it can be okay.

Maybe I will just deduct 15-20 points, I don't know.

I'm really scared 🙁 My real deal is on Dec. 15th, I know a lot but I feel there is something I'm missing... Maybe I haven't done enough questions. I have gone through Uworld once but honestly, I don't think I used it well. I was just doing qs and when I made a mistake I would read the explanation and move forward. Don't think I retained much,
So, will do 160 qs/day + review and we will see...

The only thing I can do is to take Kaplan 2 and if I'm around 80% I will take it as a yes nd go to the exam...

I was thinking the same thing.

Kaplan is completely unreliable. UWSA or the Free 150 (or how many ever questions it is these days) are the next best things, while Kaplan is the worst and will either give you a false sense of distress or security.

I actually agree with you. It's such **** lol.
After taking NBMEs, even when my score wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, I knew where I was.

Kaplan seems to be just a heart-wrenching waste of time.
I guess I will do free 150 and maybe one old NBME.

The Kap Sim test is absurd, I did the first two blocks and then i felt i was wasting my time. the 60-65 % is actually arnd 220-230 range btw , from what i searched after i did the test. Trust your nbme scores you are probably going to hit the 230+
