in the kaplan textbook, practice section 2, passage III q23; if we're going to convert 1500m/2 hours into m/s, shouldn't the calculation be
750m/hrx1hr/3600s=~0.2m/s?

yet in the answers, they've got "we know that the plane traveled 1500m in 2 hours. Thus, 1500/2=750m/s.

is this just a printing error? what am i missing?

As represented here it looks like an error. But does the plane really only travel 1500 meters in two hours? Maybe you mis-read the original information.
 
yeah, it says 1500m in 2 hours, so i automatically converted it into m/s which was about 0.2m/s by my calculations
