A Kaplan instructor told me that the Kaplan FLs 1-11 are better indicators of the type of thinking (but not necessarily the scale) of the real MCAT, vs the AAMC ones, because the AAMC ones are so old and the MCAT is going towards the Kaplan FLs with a lighter scale but harder questions. Is this true?

I haven't taken the MCAT yet but several people who took the test recently said they felt their test was more similar to Kaplan FLs than AAMC exams (in terms of content/type of thinking, for BS & PS). Verbal I think AAMC is still more accurate.
